My Year, My Story is an interactive self-discovery and personal journaling app designed for teenagers aged 13 and older and young adults.
It offers features such as reflections, journaling, gratitude tracking, goals, lists, mood records, self-knowledge quizzes, family interviews, reminders, and alerts.

2. Use with or without login

The app can be used without login, in a limited mode.
In this mode:

• No personal data is collected or stored.

• Entered information is not saved permanently.

• Most features remain locked.

To access the full experience, account creation and login are required.

3. Data collected

When the user creates an account, the app may collect the following data:

• Name or nickname

• Email address

• Authentication data (email/password login or Google login)

• Date of birth or age range

• Mood and emotion records

• User-generated content (journal entries, reflections, gratitude, interviews, quiz responses)

• Goals, lists, and habits

• Reminder and alert information

• Photos and images selected by the user
  The app may request access to the device’s photo gallery only when the user explicitly chooses to add images to their personal records (such as monthly photos or memories).

Images are used exclusively for personal content within the app and are not accessed automatically, shared, or used for advertising purposes.

4. Purpose of data use

Collected data is used solely to:

• Enable app functionality

• Store and organize personal content

• Sync data across devices

• Personalize the user experience

• Manage subscriptions and premium access

The app does not use data for advertising purposes.

5. Data storage and security

Data is securely stored on servers managed by Supabase, used for database management and user authentication.

Appropriate technical and organizational measures are in place to protect data against unauthorized access or misuse.

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the app’s services or until the user deletes their account.

My Year, My Story does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.

Data is accessed only by essential technical services required for the app’s operation.

7. Use of Artificial Intelligence Services

The app uses the Google Gemini API to generate personalized content based on text voluntarily provided by the user.

Only text entered directly by the user (such as journal entries, reflections, or in-app responses) is transmitted for real-time content generation.

No personal identifiers — such as email address, user ID, device identifiers, or authentication tokens — are shared with Google.

Data transmitted to the Gemini API is used exclusively for content generation and processed in accordance with Google’s API terms and policies.

Generated content may be securely stored within the app’s backend infrastructure (Supabase) as part of the user’s account functionality.

The AI feature is used exclusively to enhance user experience and personalization within the app. It is not used for advertising, commercial profiling, or tracking.

8. Subscriptions and payments

The app offers monthly and annual subscription plans.

Payments are processed exclusively through the official app store platform (such as Apple App Store or Google Play), depending on the user’s device.

The application does not collect, process, or store credit card details or sensitive financial information.

Subscription management, renewals, and cancellations are handled directly by the respective app store platform under its own terms and policies.

9. Age requirement

The app is intended for users aged 13 and older.
It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

10. User rights

Users may at any time:

• Request access, correction, or deletion of their data

• Delete their account

• Cancel subscriptions via the app store settings

• Users located in regions with applicable data protection laws (such as the European Union or Brazil) may exercise their rights under GDPR or LGPD, including the right to access, correct, restrict, or delete personal data.
